Friends of East Atlanta Library’s Annual Strut Book Sale Slated

By Carlen Hultgren
Friends of East Atlanta Library (FEAL) will once again participate in the East Atlanta Strut, with their fabulous fall book sale on the day of the festival, Saturday, September 24, outside the library at 400 Flat Shoals Avenue. The hours will be in the middle of the festivities starting at 12:00pm and ending at 4:00pm. FEAL is looking to liquidate their inventory for the end of the year. Most books will be priced at $1 to $2, but all will be priced to sell.
Activities like this help promote and provide support to the East Atlanta Library as well as providing programs for its membership, so as you are walking down Flat Shoals, checking out the artists market or food and drink options on the day of Strut, walk a little further and check out the amazing deals and support your local library. It’s outside, so food and beverages are welcome.
FEAL is successful in raising money through activities like book sales as well as monthly business sponsorships. These donations support the busy program schedule led by library staff. Local businesses interested in sponsoring library programs are encouraged to contact FEAL.
The library is always in need of regular volunteers to donate one or a few hours each week. If you are interested, please fill out the volunteer form at www.afpls.org/volunteer or inquire at the circulation desk.
