The Friends of the East Atlanta Library (FEAL) hosted a festive birthday bash on June 14 as we turned the page on 20 years serving the community at its current location. The celebration drew families, friends, and neighbors together for a morning filled with fun. More than 100 refreshing paletas were handed out and children enjoyed face painting, art activities, and plenty of bouncing in our bounce house! The event’s highlight—FEAL’s Summer Reading Book Sale—was a major success, with over 700 books sold and more than $1,500 raised to support future library programs and activities. The organization also welcomed several new Friends to its roster.

“We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces celebrating with us, and buying books to support our mission” said a FEAL representative. “This community continues to show up for the library, and we’re so grateful.” The event was made possible thanks to the dedication of FEAL board members and volunteers, whose behind-the-scenes eff orts helped make the day a memorable one for all who attended.
To stay up to date on future events and book sales, including the next one during our favorite festival—the EAV Strut on Saturday, September 27, follow FEAL on Facebook at @friendsofeastatlantalibrary. Book donation dates will be announced in advance, and we kindly ask donors to not leave books at the library outside of those designated times.
