East Atlanta Village Building Sold

By Stuart Brady
On March 1 Clinton Raines Jr., an 18-year veteran with State Farm Insurance, acquired the building at 416 Flat Shoals Ave in East Atlanta Village south of the library. The building was built in 1962 for the Atlanta Home Loan Corporation, an insurance business that operated out of that facility for 30 years. In 1992, Steve Cook and Linton Cason, owners of C&M Office Equipment, Inc., bought the building and moved their business, which focused on repairing typewriters, fax machines, copiers and then shredders. In 2009 C&M Office Equipment, Inc. sold their business and account structure to a strategic buyer within the industry.
Mr. Raines is anticipating opening his new office on or before April 15 and has an additional 800 square feet for available for lease. He is now interviewing prospective synergistic tenants.
The 2400 square foot property sold for $160 a square foot. The business and real estate transactions were facilitated by Stuart J. Brady, of the Business House, Inc. www.theBusinessHouseInc.com.
