[singlepic id=224 w=320 h=240 float=]
This picture of a parade somewhere in Metropolitan Atlanta in the early 1900s features a float representing the first building of the Market and Minor store in East Atlanta at Flat Shoals Avenue and Glenwood Avenue (which was once spelled with two “n’s” and before that was called Magazine Road). East Atlanta’s Katina Van Cronkhite and Henry Bryant are currently finishing up a book on East Atlanta History, Part of the Arcadia Press’ Images of America series, the book should be out early in 2014.
