East Atlanta Alight for the Holidays

Photo(s) by Henry Bryant and Santa Volunteer

East Atlanta Santa was on hand all weekend to get wish lists for children and pets of all ages. In the morning East Atlanta United Santa held court and, in the afternoon, the jolly man from the North Pole showed up. Here he has a heart-to-heart with Owen Bryant-Molyneax.

Nancy Hennesey, who labors all year round to keep the litter picked up in the Village and the planter at Glenwood and Flat Shoals blooming and bedecked for Christmas, showed up at the tree lighting well-lit.

The East Atlanta tree lighting had been scheduled for the evening of Saturday, December 1 but had to be rescheduled for Sunday because of heavy rain on the original date. Here Santa dismounts from the traditional yellow pickup truck to throw the switch on the three East Atlanta Christmas trees. A party ensued around the intersection with music and support thanks to the folks from Screen Savers.
