Drip, the coffee shop in Glenwood Park, has taken a giant green step by eliminating the cash register and credit card machine. Receipt tape is very bad for the environment. When the credit card machine broke earlier this fall, owner Hal switched to an iPod with a card swipe attachment. Soon, he discovered an app that replaced the entire register. Now customers can use their fingers to sign and email themselves a receipt. Drip features many local projects.
