Most DeKalb elected offices were decided in the Democrat primary and runoffs. However DeKalb residents have one more office to fill in November.
Four candidates are vying to represent East Atlanta on the Dekalb County Commission. District 3 covers the Southeastern quadrant of the county. The seat has remained vacant since Larry Johnson qualified for his unsuccessful bid to be the county CEO. The Board of Elections avoided a special election by putting the election on the General Election ballot.
Tommy Travis: See TommyT4District3.com. He says his primary focus will be “service delivery.” His areas of interest are Economic Growth, infrastructure, technology, schools, public safety, seniors.
Nicole Massiah: See Nicolefordistrict3.com. She has a law degree from John Marshall Law School and a law firm focused on real estate law. She is also a real estate broker and has her own real estate firm.

Andrew Walter Bell: See electAndrewbell.com. Bell is a disabled veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps with a degree in economics and political science from GSU. He is a businessman with an interest in real estate investment. His biggest concern is the “lack of accountability” in government. The former president of Restore DeKalb, he ran against Larry Johnson in 2022.
