This holiday season, Cub Scout Pack 688, The Pack in the Park, is helping support the neighborhood with their annual Christmas Tree Pickup Fundraiser. On January 3, 2026, the Pack will send their volunteer drivers (families of the Pack) to pick up your real Christmas tree. This is the Pack’s only fundraising event and supports the Scouts’ entire year of adventures and service projects.
It’s easy to need a little Christmas break after the holidays—just sign up for a pickup, leave your tree at the curb, and let the Scouts take care of the rest. The suggested donation is $25 per tree, but the Pack also welcomes additional donations.
What do we do with the trees? We partner with the Grant Park Conservancy and the City of Atlanta Arborist to chip the trees into mulch for Grant Park. If you have old light strands that you would like to recycle, remove the lights from the tree and we’ll take those too. The Pack will bring them to Zoo Atlanta’s old strand recycling program.
“This fundraiser helps our Scouts learn about responsibility and community service while making the holiday clean-up easier for everyone,” said Cubmaster Billy Roberts. “We appreciate all the neighbors who sign up, spread the word, and help make this event possible.”
All proceeds from the Christmas Tree Pickup Fundraiser will directly support Cub Scout activities, including camping trips, educational outings, and service projects that benefit the community. By participating, neighbors are helping young Scouts grow into confident, caring leaders.
Residents wishing to participate can sign up for a Christmas tree pickup on the Pack 688 website (packinthepark.com), or by scanning the QR code below.
