May – June 2018
Calendar items for June should be sent to calendar@theporchpress.com with “info4calendar” in the subject line. The next deadline for the calendar will be May 25, 2018. Calendar events take place in southeast Atlanta. The area is south of I-20 to Moreland Drive and includes Grant Park, Ormewood Park and East Atlanta.

The following activities take place every week as listed.
CHILDREN/STORY TIME
Tiny Tots Storytime. East Atlanta Library, 400 Flat Shoals Avenue SE, for newborns to 5years, 10:30am (every Tue).

Art Attack. Art classes for children ages 2-10, Rhen’s Nest Toy Shop, 924 Garrett Street SE, Glenwood Park, $8, 1:30pm (every Tues).
SENIOR ACTIVITIES
Golden Age Center. St Paul United Methodist Church, 501 Grant Street SE, Rm R2. All senior citizens welcome 10:00am-2:00pm (Tues and Thurs).
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Sunday Running Group. East Atlanta Village, meet at Flat Shoals and Glenwood Avenues near Joe’s Coffee Shop, 3-mile run, 9:00am (Every Sunday).
Grant Park Farmers Market. 600 Cherokee Avenue, Sundays, 9:00am-1:00pm. Free yoga classes provided by All Life is Yoga will also be offered on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Open to all skill levels. Bring your own mat.
Yoga on the Farm. Ecosystem Farm, 1088 Bouldercrest Dr SE (outside in front by the community orchard). Sun 4pm-5pm. Cost is $10 (cash) or you can use your {sacred} thread class package,

May 29 Summer Dance and Acting Camp. Kids Dance 411 is offering a Summer Dance and Acting Camp from May 29 through August 3. Ages range from 5-13. Sessions are held daily 9am-4pm. Jun 11 EAKC Sci Tech Camp. Brownwood Park and Recreation Center, 602 Brownwood Ave SE. 4-week camp, Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm, June 11 – July 13 (break the week of July 2-6). Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are provided to campers. $150/week, with $25 sibling or multiple week discounts.
