Special Events

Brownwood Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Tuesday, June 18, 9:30am, 602 Brownwood Avenue. This ceremony or the new Playground/Tennis Court and mural will be attended by community partners, city delegates, and Storm Reid (celebrity donor). Games will be provided by the city and East Atlanta Kids Club. Murals by EACA Arts Committee will come in Late Summer/Early Fall to coincide with pavilion construction.

7th Annual Paint the Village Pink. Friday, June 21, 7:00pm-12:00am. Check-in at Argosy: 470 Flat Shoals Avenue. Tickets: $30. Check in at the Argosy to get your wristband and free swag. After that, choose your own adventure as you visit participating bars and restaurants and enjoy a unique drink special at each stop. Show the sponsors and community your enthusiastic support for Planned Parenthood by wearing pink. General Admission gets you a wristband and some Planned Parenthood swag. Additional Planned Parenthood items will be for sale at the Argosy.

EAV Street Art Tour. Saturday, June 22. 9:45am to complete a release form for Atlanta Street Art Map, 10:00am-11:30am tour. Meet at he corner of Joesph and Glenwood (Southern Feed Store) in EAV. Tickets: $20. This one-mile walking tour will cover standard city sidewalks and is wheelchair accessible. Arthur Rudick, creator of The Atlanta Street Art Map, will take you on a guided walking tour through East Atlanta. You’ll explore the murals that make this neighborhood one of the city’s best outdoor art galleries, and Arthur will share insights into the large-scale pieces while teaching us about the artists who created them. All proceeds go directly back into supporting the East Atlanta #smallbiz community.
