Calendar – December – February 2018

Calendar events take place in southeast Atlanta, the area south of I-20 to Moreland Drive, and includes Grant Park, Ormewood Park, and East Atlanta.

Weekly Activities

The following activities take place every week as listed.

CHILDREN/STORY TIME

Tiny Tots Storytime.East Atlanta Library, 400 Flat Shoals Avenue SE, for newborns to 5 years, 10:30am (every Tue).

Youth Chess Club.East Atlanta Library, 400 Flat Shoals Avenue SE. Mondays, November 19, December 3, and 17 at 6:15pm. Learn to play with the help of instructor Rodney Lewis or improve your skills by playing against others. Ages 5+.

Urban Line Dance with Instructor Mr. Cardiotone.East Atlanta Library, 400 Flat Shoals Avenue SE. Every Saturday in November, December and January. Learn over 24 line dances to while getting healthy. For adults, 3:00pm.

Sunday Running Group. East Atlanta Village, meet at Flat Shoals and Glenwood Avenues near Joe’s Coffee Shop, 3-mile run, 9:00am (Every Sunday).

Friendship Center.Church of the Holy Comforter, 737 Woodland Avenue SE, 9:00am-1:00pm (Tues and Thurs).

Art Shows at the East Atlanta Library.400 Flat Shoals Avenue. Meeting room. Open during regular library hours. Ask at the circulation desk if the room is locked and unoccupied. Shows typically change every two months. Check the library lobby area on the bulletin board and inside the library for additional information. Currently on exhibit until December 1: Paintings by Terry Gardner, Drawn in by Nature.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

                                    Evening Vinyasa Yoga with Shereen Ashtiani.First Monday of the month. Adults. Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as flow yoga.
