On August 17, the Litespeed BMW Twilight Criterium will be back on the streets around East Atlanta Village. This bicycle race is a circuit type of event where participants race on a closed course. The course follows Flat Shoals Avenue, Metropolitan Avenue, Metropolitan Place, Haas Avenue, and Glenwood Avenue. During this event, these roads will be closed to traffic from 11:00am to 9:00pm. In addition, on-street parking will not be permitted during these hours. A map of the affected streets is below.
If your vehicle is parked on the race course, the organizers urge you to move it outside the course before 11:00am. In the event that you need to get a car out after this time, please find a race course marshal or public safety officer to assist you, or contact Criterium staff by phone and they will work with you to do this as safely as possible.
Thank you for playing host to this event. It will no doubt be a great day of bicycle racing and spectating. If you have any questions or concerns, please visit www.litespeed-bmwcycling.com, or feel free to contact Director Jeff Blau at 404-384-3995 or Assistant Director Clay Parks at 678-644-5581.
