Here is a short note about upcoming Battle of Atlanta tours sponsored by the BATL commemorative organization. In September there will be a “Frontlines” walking tour offered on Sunday, September 23 at 3:30pm. On Sunday, October 14, there will be a “Battle Began Here” walking tour offered at 1:30 pm. Advance ticketing is required and available along with more information at www.batlevent.org. The starting points in East Atlanta and Kirkwood for the easy walks will be emailed to ticket buyers. The ticket window will close the night before each tour. A “Battle from Front to Back” hike is being planned for November. BATL is also planning on being at the annual Sunday in the Park at Oakland Cemetery on the first weekend in October.
