Starting March 10, 2014, the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity ReStore, a home improvement discount store, will be expanding its business hours to Monday through Saturday, 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Products sold in the ReStore are donated by wholesalers, manufacturers, renovation specialists, demolition companies, retailers and individuals from the community. The ReStore then sells the items to the public for up to 75 percent off retail prices. By accepting donations, the ReStore maintains an environmental impact by eliminating the disposal of merchandise, surplus sales, storage and re-stocking fees. Since opening in 2001, the ReStore has diverted more than 6,500 tons of material from the landfill.
All net proceeds from the ReStore goes back to support the mission of Atlanta Habitat. For more information about the ReStore, visit www.atlantahabitat.org/restore.
