Art Show and Closing Party at Art-Haus Gallery

By Eva-Maria Connolly

By mid-April there will be a new art show on view in Grant Park’s own Art-Haus Gallery and creative space featuring the artist Meredith Cope. Eva-Maria Connolly, owner of the gallery and curator of the show, will have a closing show reception on April 27.

Cope’s art features bright colors and broad brush strokes in her representational work of Japanese koi fish, moving waters, and tranquil landscapes. Her oil paintings, inspired by impressionism, show undertones of all colors of the rainbow, from rose and purple to all shades of green and blue. She is known for her almost abstract compositions of flowing waters, landscapes, and the plant world. Cope is also an avid believer in plant-based food nutrition and teaches vegan cooking classes in her home.

The free closing reception for the artist will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Everyone is invited to come and bring family and friends. There will be wine and light vegan-inspired snacks, as well as nonalcoholic beverages. There also will be live music.

If you want to drop in for the artist talk and meet the artist, please come at 7:30pm. Art-Haus is located at 332 Ormond Street at the corner of Grant Street. Afterwards you can check out the neighboring Mediterranea Restaurant & Bakery, the only fully gluten-free restaurant in Atlanta, or stroll down to the Beacon, with its restaurants and bars, or just hang at Eventide, Grant Park’s local microbrewery.
