Ormewood Park: The E.A. Minor Lodge #603 on Moreland Avenue is set for a significant historic rehabilitation. The APC is excited to support preservation efforts led by King Properties, Clark Property R+D, Porch & Square, and RAD Group. The project is pursuing historic tax credits and other federal preservation incentives. Plans call for a mix of office and local retail, plus 42 units of workforce housing on the site.
Built in 1947, a Masonic Lodge used the top floor and a Kroger was located on the first floor. The building features a limestone masonry façade, marble staircase, and a grand ballroom with 20-foot-high ceilings. The space has sat vacant for the past twenty years.
Ormewood Park / Grant Park: Last month, the Atlanta Urban Design Commission adopted the Ormewood Bridge Landmark nomination. Next up is the Zoning Review Board.
