Events Returning to City Parks

By the Grant Park Conservancy Staff

The City of Atlanta has approved events for under 2,000 attendees and will be issuing permits for events as soon as May 15.

The Grant Park Conservancy’s role is to make the park a pleasant and welcoming place for all visitors. We do this through our work restoring the park’s architecture and gathering spaces, providing picnic areas and amenities, and caring for the ecological health of the park. We love appropriately permitted events, and enjoy seeing how people use our wonderful greenspace.

The City of Atlanta’s role includes all permitting and enforcement. If you see a problem with an event, call Adrienne Wright, Special Events Manager with the City, at 404-546-7655. If you see something dangerous in the park, call 911.

Also, a reminder that the northbound Cherokee Avenue lane will become a bike lane only, and parking will not be allowed starting in May (date TBA).

Gear up for a busy events season, have fun, and stay safe!
