After many years, plans have finally come forward to redevelop the Gordon Elementary School property on Metropolitan Avenue near Moreland in the East Atlanta Village. The developers, Trammell Crow in partnership with Paces Properties, are asking for a variance to reduce the open space requirement. The hardship cited is the irregular shape and configuration of the property to allow fitting 120 units and parking on the property. Here is a proposed site plan.
