SEABA Updates

By Ashley McCartney
On April 17, 2014, Zoo Atlanta hosted our Business Luncheon, which had over 25 attendees, including the Honorable Councilperson Natalyn Archibong, Fulton County Commissioner Joan Garner and Brenda Muhammad, candidate for Fulton County Commission, among other notable guests.  Mr. Justin E. Giboney from Invest Atlanta (Atlanta Development Authority) gave a riveting presentation on what’s new on the economic development front impacting local businesses. The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive and we look forward to continuing to be an educational resource to our membership.
Speaking of membership, if you haven’t yet paid your dues for 2014, the rates are the same: $24 for an individual, $60 for an organization with more than 5 people. You can send payment to SEABA at 275 14th Street, NW, Suite 200, Atlanta, Georgia 30318 or pay at our next event. Membership applications are available on our website at seabaga.org.
On May 15, 2014, Dakota Blue in Grant Park will be hosting our business networking soiree from 5:30-7:15 p.m. As always, we will be provided with some snacks to munch on and we are responsible for our own bar tabs. Bring your business cards! This is where deals get started.
Please check out our SEABA website at www.seabaga.org and become a member of our Facebook page. If you would like to be on our mailing list or know more about our organization just send an email to ashmccartney@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you.

SEABA (South East Atlanta Business Association) was created through the merger of the Reynoldstown/Cabbagetown Business Association and the Grant Park Merchants Association in 2006. Our most important goals are to strengthen and grow the business community and enhance the quality of life for all residents. SEABA is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation operated by volunteers.
