In December’s Porch Press, a phone number was left out of the letter to the paper from Grant Park neighbor Steve Carr concerning neighborhood safety.
The purpose of the letter was to seek neighbor support for a plan in case any of the dangerous creatures at Zoo Atlanta should escape, which has happened in recent times at Zoo Atlanta and other animal facilities across the country.
Mr. Carr believes that the Zoo should have a plan in place and make it public. Specifically, he would like some sort of audio emergency warning with loudspeakers in the park and/or on mobiles throughout the neighborhood in case of escape.
Anyone who agrees with his opinion may contact zoo director Raymond King’s office at 404-624-5863 to request action or report any concerns.
