On Saturday, April 28, 8:30am to 12:00pm, the FitWit Foundation will host the inaugural FitWit Field Day at Maynard Jackson High School located at 801 Glenwood Avenue.
This inaugural field day is sure to be an exciting time with an incredible line up of activities for both beginners and experienced athletes including:
- Dizzy bat
- Wheelbarrow/bear crawl/crab walk/inch worm banana relay
- Sponge relay
- 100 yard shuttle dash
- Kettlebell carry
- Flip cup
- Tug of war
- Obstacle course
“We encourage everyone to come out and represent your neighborhood, business, university, or gym in a day of old school field day favorites, as well as some new school games that will be fun for everyone,” said Ben Thoele, president of the FitWit Foundation. “While having a blast, you will be raising money The FitWit Foundation, an organization that fights childhood obesity through after-school exercise programs, as well as nutritional education.”
WHAT: FitWit Field Day is a fun filled day of old school field day activities mixed with some newer games and a few surprises. Think banana relay, dizzy bat races, and tug-o-war. Teams of six to eight compete in a series of challenges. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winning teams.
All proceeds from FitWit Field Day go to the FitWit Foundation and Maynard Jackson High School.

8:30 – Team check-in
9:00 – Captains briefing
9:15 – FitWit warm-up
9:30 – First half events start
10:00 – Second half events start
10:45 – Tug of war
11:15 – Final obstacle course starts
11:30 – Events end
11:45 – Awards ceremony
12:00 – After party starts at Matador Mexican Cantina
REGISTRATION: $250 registration fee for a team of six to eight people. Registration is open until April 9 at www.fitwitfieldday.org.
