The time has come to reimagine Grant Park’s playground and create a space that reflects the needs of our community, where children can thrive, and families can connect. Join the Grant Park Conservancy (GPC) this Martin Luther King Jr. Day for a special family-friendly workday combined with a playground Design Jam session where kids, parents and neighbors can come together to help shape the future of our playground!

The Grant Park Conservancy (GPC) is leading the renovation of the park’s playground and will host a series of community sessions to kick off the project and gather input from the public.

The first session will be held in combination with the GPC’s Martin Luther King Jr. workday on January 20th. After a family-friendly workday in the park, kids and their families are invited to the playground to play on the existing structure and provide information on how the space is currently used, what equipment is most popular, and begin reimagining the play space.

So, kick off Martin Luther King Jr. Day by giving back to the park and sharing your thoughts and ideas about the playground. Together we can imagine a safe and inspiring space where children can play and explore, families can create memories, and our community is enriched for years to come.

Please make every effort to attend! However, if you can’t make it to this session, the GPC will host additional input sessions in the future. For more information and to sign up, visit https://bit.ly/mlkfamilyworkday.
