Meet Homie: EAV’s Official Unofficial Dog Mascot

When Homie’s mom Traci adopted him on April 1, 2019, the joke was on her. A family had posted him for free on Facebook. She was afraid an 11-month-old, unneutered, Pitbull could fall into the wrong hands, so drove to Stockbridge and picked him up. He was quite a handful but with months of proper training by some amazing trainers, Homie is a fantastic dog: sweet, loves people, other dogs, and Moon the cat. He even met a ferret named Sue, with no problems. He received his official Canine Good Citizen certificate last year.

Homie is now six years old and loves his walks around the neighborhood and saying hello to all the people and the dogs. He loves runs from Ruff Runners, revels in basking in the sun in the backyard, loves any treat that’s beefy, peanut buttery, or cheesy. Homie also enjoys his squeaky toys and looking out the window from the sofa and is always up for a car ride. Last but not least, Handsome Homie lets his mom dress him up for ALL the holidays, to the neighborhood’s delight.
