“Adventure Begins at Your Library” is the theme for this year’s Summer Reading program, which starts June 1. Get ready for a summer full of crafts, reading, and programs with your favorite library staff. Kids and adults can log their reading with a Beanstack account through the library to track books and earn awards. Go to the library website to sign up, www.fulcolibrary.org/srp/.
The East Atlanta Library will offer some entertaining programs this summer with help from funds from the Friends of the East Atlanta Library (FEAL). Join for a Summer Reading Kick-Off event at the library with The Inflatable Zoo program bringing fun, laughter, and balloons.
The FEAL board is working on other plans to make this a fun morning. All events at the library are free and open to the public. Check out the Friends of East Atlanta Library Facebook page for details as we approach June 1.
If you haven’t been to the library in a while, you are invited to come in and browse the stacks. In addition to books, the library offers many resources for patrons: computers, internet access, printers, audio books, movies, PUZZLES (at the EAV branch), magazines, and more online. Need a library card? Apply on the Fulton Library website, www.fulcolibrary.org.
As always, you can support your local library branch by supporting FEAL. Become a member at www.friendsofeastatlantalibrary.org. Also, don’t miss our Book Sale Shelf for gently used books, available during library hours. Select books to purchase, pay from your phone and enjoy. Books are $3 for hardbacks, $2 for softbacks and all proceeds directly benefit the East Atlanta Library. Additional donations are always welcome.
