EABA Board Meeting. 1st Tuesday of every month, 6:00pm. East Atlanta Chess Club. Meetings every Wednesday at Branan Towers, 1200 Glenwood Avenue. Weekly rated tournament 6:00pm-10:00pm, and free play for those players who want to play casually. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

EAV Farmers Market. 572 Stokeswood Avenue, 4:00pm-8:00pm. Local farmers and vendors bring their wares every Thursday afternoon. Shop, eat, socialize.

Grant Park Farmers Market. 1040 Grant Street (The Beacon). Sundays, 9:00am-1:00pm, year round (closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day).

Grant Park Conservancy, Project G.R.A.N.T. (Greenspace Restoration and Neighborhood Teamwork). Second Saturday of every month. Choose from the morning session, 9:00am-12:00pm, or the 1:30pm-4:30pm afternoon session. To sign up, see www.gpconservancy.org/events-programs/volunteer-work-days.

Walking Tour – History and Change on the BeltLine. Eastside Trail. 2nd Saturday of the month, 9:00am-10:30am. Meet at picnic tables behind Parish restaurant and end at Ponce City Market. Sign up at www.treesatlanta.org. 

BATL Walking Tours – Civil War Battle of Atlanta. Various Sunday afternoons each month in the Porch Press neighborhoods. 3:00pm in March and 2:00pm the rest of the year. East Atlanta Kids Club. EAKC Youth -Film Camp Premiere. The Plaza Theater. 1049 Ponce De Leon Avenue, NE. Friday April 12, 7:00pm-8:30pm. The EAKC youth Film Camp is presenting their Film Camp premiere at the Plaza theater. Come out and be prepared to be amazed by these inspiring and talented young people.

Pushing Up Daisies Garden Tour and Concert. Sylvester Cemetery, the corner of Clifton Road and Braeburn Circle Saturday, April 20, 11:00am-6:00pm.  Neighborhood garden tours from 11:00am-3:00pm and music from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Food and drink all day at the cemetery. Tickets are $20 for the tour and music, and $10 for the music only. Both tickets come with one free drink. Whispers of History: An East Atlanta Walking Tour Meet at East Atlanta Library, Flat Shoals Avenue Saturday, May 11. Meet 1:45pm, Tour 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Walking Tour, $30. Walking Tour, including Images of America: East Atlanta, $50. This is the East Atlanta walking tour with the option of receiving the Images of America: East Atlanta book written by local residents Henry Bryant and Katina Van Cronkhite. A Meet and Greet will take place in front of the Madison Theater, 496 Flat Shoals Avenue, from 4:00pm-5:00pm. Meet the authors and purchase copies of the book.
