Georgia Power Company is offering to help certain power users in several ways. They have a resource assistance program to find online programs that can help with rent, mortgage, utilities, food, counseling, and more: www.georgiapower/assistance.
Their EASE program can help with energy assistance for income eligible residential customers (200% of Federal Poverty guidelines) including things like free attic insulation and energy saving thermostats: www.georgiapower.com/ease or call 877-310-5607 Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm. For customers over the age of 65, free energy efficiency improvements can be found at www.georgiapower/hopeworks or by calling 404-872-0167 ext. 1.
For others, Georgia Power continues to offer special billing options and rate plans to help manage seasonal budgets. More information about these options can be found online at www.georgiapower.com/rates.
