SAND’s February 9 meeting was held in person with special guests, Council Members Liliana Bakhtiari and Jason Winston. You can find the questions asked and answered in the article below.
Several items of business were presented.
- The Ormewood Park Makers Festival will be held Saturday, May 20. To learn about sponsorship or volunteering opportunities, please visit the website at www.sandatlanta.org/opmf or email opmakersfestival@gmail.com.
- Zoning 2.0 Committee still needs representation from Benteen Park, Woodland Hills and Custer McDonough-Guice neighborhoods.
- All neighborhood sign toppers are now installed completing the 2022 Community Impact Grant.
- SAND is looking for a representative to lead our portion of the 2023 Community Impact Grant.
SAND’s next two membership meetings will be in person on March 9 and April 13 at 7:30pm at the Fellowship Hall of Ormewood Church, corner of Woodland and Delaware Avenues. In March, we will focus on getting neighborhood input on key issues; and in April, we will review transportation and connectivity needs for our SAND neighborhoods.
