By Historic Oakland Foundation Staff
Historic Oakland Foundation (HOF) began back in 1976 as a group of volunteers determined to restore, preserve, enhance, and share historic Oakland Cemetery with all of Atlanta. Forty-three times since then, HOF has held its annual Sunday in the Park festival to celebrate the Atlanta community. On September 25, Sunday in the Park will return for its 44th year and will host the annual Tunes from the Tombs music festival.
Along with amazing live music, Sunday in the Park attendees will enjoy tours, craft beer, an artist market and Museum Store pop-up shop, a Victorian costume contest, a kids’ area, a fabulous line-up of food trucks, and more. Get tickets for Sunday in the Park 2022 today and make plans to celebrate! Learn more at https://oaklandcemetery.com/event/sip.
Enjoy the sunset over the Atlanta skyline as the music flows from Oakland’s North Public Grounds. Headlining this year’s Tunes from the Tombs music festival are Charleston-based indie rockers SUSTO with Sailing to Denver, Sweet Auburn String Band, and Nate Helfrich. Guests will also enjoy pop-up performances throughout the day. Purchase tickets at www.eventbrite.com/e/sunday-in-the-park-ft-tunes-from-the-tombs-tickets.
