After a great success of the inaugural Fulton County One Book, One Read with Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, participants decided to continue a branch book club and invite more of the community to participate. With the interest of more community outreach, Friends of the East Atlanta Library (FEAL) is sponsoring a Meet and Greet for book lovers on Tuesday, June 28 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the East Atlanta branch meeting room, located at 400 Flat Shoals Avenue. Interested adults will meet others who share this interest and to discuss the launch of a new book club. Light refreshments will be served. Fill out a mobile-friendly form to join the club’s email list at https://form.jotform.com/221306228566050.
The Summer Reading Challenge is on! Register for the Fulton County Library Summer Reading Challenge: Oceans of Possibilities online at https://fultoncounty.beanstack.org and track your reading. The challenge continues through July 31. If you have used Beanstack for other reading challenges, there is no need to set up a new account, just log in to your account and select Oceans of Possibilities.
The Friends of the East Atlanta Library continue to financially support the summer reading program at our local branch. The librarians have done a spectacular job again this year, creating a summer of fun activities at the library (in person and with take home crafts each week.) Look for an ocean of opportunities throughout the summer for the kids at the library and check out books to get you started. Like the FEAL Facebook page (friendsofeastatlantalibrary) to keep up with the events,
