8th Annual Neighbor in Need East Atlanta Charity Poker Tournament

Neighbor in Need East Atlanta is a nonprofit organization that functions under the umbrella of the East Atlanta Community Association (EACA). Neighbor in Need provides emergency home repairs for low-income elderly homeowners in East Atlanta, allowing them to stay safe and comfortable in their homes.
Since its inception in 2010, Neighbor in Need East Atlanta has helped more than 75 homeowners with more than 160 repair projects, covering labor and costs of $171,400. Last year was our biggest year to date, with mor than 40 projects in 18 different households at a cost of more than $50,000.
The organization is hosting their annual Spring Poker Tournament on Saturday, March 24, from 10:00am until 1:00pm. The event will take place at Midway Pub, located at 552 Flat Shoals Avenue in East Atlanta Village. Attendees can win prizes while supporting charity. This is the eighth year that Neighbor in Need is raising money with a fun day at the poker table playing for a good purpose. Poker with a Purpose (Atlanta Poker Club) will be dealing the cards to a few lucky winners. Play some cards and stick around to watch the March Madness Games. A $500 first prize will be awarded along with other prizes for second and third place.
The event is free to attend. Players get a starting stack of 300 chips. Additional chips are available by donation. For a $20 donation, get 2,000 chips; for $40, get 4,500; for $60, get 7,500; and $100 donation, get 15,000. There are spots available for only 50 players.
