BATL Changes Bring New Volunteer Opportunities

For 10 years BATL (The Battle of Atlanta Commemoration Organization) held an annual event that grew into a full week of programs each July, Since 2015, the year after the Sesquicentennial of the Battle of Atlanta, the organization has been offering programs throughout  the year and not just in July. In addition to at least one tour each month, there are other programs and appearances at various festival events and schools. These programs and tours are announced on the organization’s website where tickets for the tours are offered for sale. One of the pressing needs for the organization currently is for a web savvy pereson to keep the tour offerings updated and manage PayPal ticket sales. Again, this happens once a month. With some division of labor, two volunteers could split the tasks.

If you would like to meet history-minded people from your neighborhood and learn more about neighborhood and Civil War history, give BATL a call to check it out at 404-377-6148 or email hbryant@mindspring.com.

BATL is a 501c3 that also raises funds to restore monuments and sites on the battlefield.
