Your Pie, the originator of the down-the-line, brick oven pizza concept is celebrating its upcoming opening in The George community in Grant Park at 275 Memorial Drive Southeast in summer 2017. The new restaurant will be located less than a mile from the state capitol and just up the street from the Atlanta Zoo. The location in Grant Park will offer hand-tossed personal sized pizza, gelato, and craft beer.
Local husband and wife owner/operator team, Morgan and Lisa Maclellan, are thrilled to be back in the Grant Park neighborhood. They are local residents and look forward to getting involved in the Grant Park community. The couple already own one Your Pie in the Dunwoody/Perimeter area and look forward to building a second. Morgan and Lisa will be looking to their managing partner, Andrew Gehrhardt, to lead the teams across both restaurants. Andrew has worked with them since day one.
The couple both fell in love with the concept—and each other—while attending The University of Georgia. They enjoyed corporate careers following graduation, and eventually decided to open their own Your Pie in 2013 because of their love for entertaining and how food brings people together. The couple also developed a love for craft beer and have even tried homebrewing, so it’s only natural that this passion will go into their craft beer line up at Your Pie Grant Park.
“We chose Your Pie because of the founder Drew French’s commitment to superior food at an affordable price,” said Morgan Maclellan. “We are excited to bring delicious brick oven pizza and quality craft beer to our neighbors in Grant Park – a community where we live and hope to better through partnerships with local schools and organizations like the Grant Park Conservancy and Historic Oakland Foundation.”
“The city of Atlanta was always a target market for development as we focus on increasing our presence throughout the Southeast” said French. “I am thrilled that the Maclellan’s are opening their second location and am confident that the Grant Park community is going to love our authentic Italian quality, customization, and craft beer pairings that Your Pie offers.” In addition to indoor seating, Your Pie Grant Park also will feature a large, covered patio.
Morgan Maclellan said, “Our hand-tossed dough, variety of quality ingredients, and brick oven cooking technique combine to make us unique within fast-casual pizza. In addition, we are passionate about contributing to the communities that we serve and enriching the lives of our guests. My wife and I are beyond excited to bring our pizza to Grant Park and the surrounding communities.” Your Pie Grant Park will be partnering with the Grant Park Conservancy (GPC, www.gpconservancy.org/) to raise money and increase membership during the restaurant’s pre-grand opening events. Morgan has served on the board of the GPC since 2014 and looks forward to supporting the park.
