Come Be Enchanted and Support Your Cooperative Preschool

By Jeanne Bonner

Grant Park Cooperative Preschool’s (GPCP) annual auction will be held March 4 at the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center, located at 225 Chester Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30316. Open to the public, the auction’s theme is “Night of Enchantment,” and parents, neighbors, supporters, and anyone interested in educating the next generation of Atlanta’ s children are encouraged to attend. The event will be from 6:00p.m to 10:00pm.

It will be a fundraising event with live and silent auctions, live music, a DJ, food, and drinks. In addition to a cash bar, there will be savory and sweet treats from neighborhood favorites, including dishes from: Noni’s Deli; 97 Estoria; Homegrown; Little Tart Bakeshop; and Spiritual Sangria from Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room & Ping Pong Emporium. Enjoy good food for a good cause.

Auction items typically include vacation home getaways, gift certificates and artwork from local artists. All of the proceeds from the event go to support the school. While Night of Enchantment will benefit the children in our community, it’s an adults-only event.

If you buy tickets before February 17, you will receive two free drink tickets. Tickets are available at

Now in its 17th year of operation, GPCP is a community of learners comprised of parents, educators, and community members. Our school’s identity is framed by substantive commitment to advocacy for children’s right to high-quality education and joyful childhood. The school fosters an atmosphere of mutual respect in an enriched learning environment supported by many forms of parent participation, and follows the Reggio Emilia educational method, perfected in Italy.

GPCP serves the diverse populations of historic in-town neighborhoods such as Grant Park, Cabbagetown, and surrounding areas.
