The East Atlanta Community Association (EACA), was awarded the 2011 Ernest Prather Neighborhood of the Year Award by DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson. The Award was made at South DeKalb Mall in December for EACA’s efforts to promote community pride and civic responsibility. Specifically, initiatives like EACA’s “Neighbor In Need” program were cited, while at the same time recognizing all of the committee work that EACA does each year to benefit the community.
