The Porch Press depends on a team of dedicated volunteers to assist in putting the paper together each month. Additional volunteers with either proofreading or layout skills are alays welcome.
Our proofreading night is held at 6:30pm on the first Monday of the month. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Coordinating Editor Stephanie Fretwell-Hill at or 207-216-0462.
Layout night is held at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month following proofreading night. Volunteers with experience in using QuarkXPress on Macintosh computers are especially needed. If you would like to join us, please contact Production Manager Henry Bryant (EACA Board Member) at 404-377-6148.
Proofreading and layout take place at Adams Realtors at 458 Cherokee Avenue in Grant Park. Dinner is provided. Please join us in helping to bring The Porch Press to our neighborhoods.

I am designing a MonsterDash 1/2 page ad for the Oct PP and would like to know what the deadline is for materials and what format you prefer. Thanks!
Hi Kirk, the ad deadline will be September 25. A PDF or TIF file would be ideal, but we can probably work with an original file format such as Quark or Illustrator. The dimensions for a 1/2 page ad are 4.875 inches x 14 inches (vertical) or 10 inches x 7 inches (horizontal). We will be happy to advertise your event. Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions. We look forward to working with you!
